Job Description: Position: Chief Engineer Pay Rate: Enquire within Start Date: Summer of 2012 Requirement: Minimum 3rd Asst. Engr. Unlimited horsepower license 3 years experience operating as Chief on self-unloading tug/barge combinations Skip the hiring hall: Openings for full-time Chief Engineers for its fleet of seven self-unloading dry bulk carriers operating on the Great Lakes. Get home more often: These particular Chief Engineers positions will be assigned to a regular 4 week 4 week off rotation year round covering the normal navigation season and winter work projects aboard ITB’s Sail on the Great Lakes – close to home and close to family and loved ones: Benefits of sailing close to home include being in cellular telephone range most of the time so you can keep in touch. Also, ships are always within range of US satellite TV and internet communications. Masters, Mates, and Pilots Membership: Engine Officers will become members of the MM&P. As such, full-time Engine Officers will receive excellent MM&P health, dental, and optical insurance. In addition, MM&P members have access to the world-class MITAGS training facility in Baltimore, MD. Our company is a relatively new and expanding company on the US-flag Great Lakes dry bulk cargo scene. GRN started business in late 2000 with one ship. Today seven vessels fly under the GRN flag.
