Job Description:
Summary: The Field Engineer shall provide surveying and procurement assistance to the Superintendent and/or Project Manager to ensure that dredging operations have accurate surveys for project completion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide dredge with accurate surveys and proper vessel
positioning to ensure accurate production measurements for the completion of the project assignment.
Provide hydrographic or topographic surveys for project monitoring.. Responsible for the care and
maintenance of all hydro survey equipment. Maintain accurate documentation for daily reports of survey
activities. Coordinate survey activities with the Project Engineer to meet schedule requirements. Provide daily support of dredge procurement requirements. Assist in the generation of daily reports and assembly
and maintenance of proper job
Education and/or Experience: 2+ years technical engineering/surveying training and 1+ year of
construction surveying experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.
College degree preferred; or equivalent field experience.
Other Skills and Abilities: Thorough knowledge of and the ability to use all surveying equipment and techniques. Ability to accurately read contract specifications. Sufficient mathematic skills required to calculate earthwork volume computations. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Other: Travel may be required

Equipment and personnel may mobilize and respond to any location along the Gulf Coast, including the Intracoastal Waterway as well as the major port facilities around the Gulf of Mexico.
