Job Description: Our vessel, accommodates 138 guests and 38 crewmembers, 97 GRT, 218’, is able to maneuver in secluded waterways and visit small ports that are inaccessible to larger vessels; she offers an opportunity to experience small-towns along the waterways of the U.S., Canada and Central America. Available positions include: Mates Qualifications include: • USCG 1600T NC or Oceans • GMDSS • Radar Unlimited • Radio Permit • STCW 95 Certificate • Crowd Management, preferred • Crisis Management, preferred Work schedules revolve around the vessel's year-round operation. Crew travel and live onboard the vessel during their rotation, working approximately 8 continuous weeks, followed by approximately 4 weeks of unpaid vacation. Time spent onboard is consistent of a 12 hour workday, 7 days a week. Crewmembers are provided subsidized travel to and from the vessel from airports in the contiguous Unites States. Medical benefits are offered, but are paid by the crewmember. The company provides room and board during each crewmember's scheduled work rotation. Typically two crewmembers will share a cabin containing bunk beds, a small personal locker, a desk and a full bathroom. While on vacation from the vessel, crew must cover all their personal living costs. All crewmembers are required to possess a valid Passport and TWIC (Transportation Workers' Identification Credential), as well as the necessary licensure for the position applied. A pre-employment physical examination, background screening and drug test are required and all crew are subject to random drug testing. This vessel is a 100% alcohol free vessel for all crew.
