Prepare healthy nutritious meals. Plan menus. Order supplies and maintain a running inventory of stores and supplies onboard. Maintain a clean and sanitary galley at all times. Head of Steward department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Perform maintenance and cleaning as necessary to insure the clean, sanitary and safe condition of all galley spaces and equipment.
2.Understand and safely operate galley equipment, to include: electric stoves, ovens, automatic dishwashers, trash compactors, deep freezer, cooler units, steam tables, etc.
3.Receive, maintain an inventory and properly store all food and galley supplies (in a safe and seaworthy manner).
4.Adapt to different equipment and working environments encountered on all company vessels.
5.Maintaining vessel ordering to stay within food budget.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Maintain a safe work environment in all steward/galley spaces.
2.Attend appropriate training programs as made available through the company.
