Job Description: All technicians to be certified to Levels I, II, or III in accordance with SNT-TC-1A of the American Society of Nondestructive Testing (ASNT). The NDT technician is part of a team that provides Radiographic, Liquid Penetration, Visual, Ultrasonic, and Magnetic Particle testing and support to our wide range of international clients. In addition to doing the testing, providing documentation and reporting the results, level II technicians are responsible for assisting other level I & II technicians. You should be familiar with calibration of equipment and able to verify that equipment has been calibrated. Ideally, you will be able to work independently after a short amount of time and have the desire to earn higher levels of certification. This requires working the hours necessary to obtain certification, correct documentation, and sufficient studying. Essential Functions: Qualified individuals will have experience interpreting engineering drawings and following written audit guidelines as well as being a fast and independent learner. This person must also be able to work in confined spaces and heights. Qualified individuals will have experience working with gamma radiation Experience with Ir 192 and associated equipment Other NDT experience a plus EDUCATION & TRAINING: Each candidate must be able to provide proof of: High School Diploma, GED, or College Certification ASNT/SNT-TC-1A Documented training Valid Drivers License Clean driving record Legally authorized to work in the United States Valid IRRSP or State Card EXPERIENCE: Preferred: Documented 40 hour radiation safety Training Exposure to typical NDT working conditions ASNT level II certifications-or enough OJT to support level II certifications Knowledge and experience with ASME (sections III, VIII, IX, 31.3, 31.1), AWS (D1.1, 1.5), and API (1104, 650, 653) codes.
